I'm an author, mental health advocate, public speaker, and former psychotherapist who lives with bipolar disorder. I have experienced depression so deep that it was a living hell and mania so severe that I was psychotic. There is help. Psychotherapy, medication, and coping skills have enabled me to live a fulfilling life. Acceptance has been key to my mental health recovery. Acceptance is essentially a spiritual experience. To accept yourself is to love yourself. There is hope. I share how I balanced living with bipolar disorder with my work as a mental health advocate and caretaker of my son and parents. My book offers hope to those living with mental health conditions and their loved ones and tells how my mental health journey has given me purpose.

Hi! I am an author with 2 books available. My first one is a humor book about a serious illness and the second is a serious book about a humorous person. The latter, Shelter of the Monument: A Provincetown Love Story, will be released on November 16, 2023 and it is a coming-of-age memoir about life in my quirky, Cape Cod hometown, falling in love with a wonderful, impish, guy and trying to make a life together despite his addiction to the popular drug of the '80's, cocaine. Within the struggle of all four seasons in a one season town, this is a story of what wonderful and heartbreaking events can take place when the wrong person says just the right thing. My first book is the well reviewed MS Madness! A "Giggle More, Cry Less" Story of Multiple Sclerosis. It details the year following my chronic illness diagnosis and how I learned that giggles are good for you and who knew, I can write funny! I have done many speaking engagements surrounding the topic of how laughter is a valid coping mechanism. I would love to appear on your podcast and share with others how I not only survived an MS diagnosis but how I have thrived in its aftermath and/or how despite his own demons, my first love gave me the courage to embrace life both inside and outside of our beautiful, small hometown.

KMO

KMO has been the voice behind the C-Realm podcast for well over a decade. He discovered podcasting while driving for a dead-end sales job and within days, he was hooked (and his sales career, doomed). Since those prehistoric days, he has sat down for a conversation over 500 times โ€“ with authors, bloggers, activists, technology gurus, and fellow podcasters โ€“ and these conversations made KMO reconsider many of his earlier positions. He now describes himself as a "recovering libertarian and Singularitarian." KMO is the writer and illustrator of GEBB, a darkly comedic, scifi comic about aliens who love the Earth but hate their jobs. He is a life-long lover of science fiction, both on the screen and on the page.
